Feexet’s 8-week Techquity Program

At Feexet, we are a team of innovators and dreamers who believe in the transformative power of technology. Our mission is clear: to bridge gaps, uplift communities, and shape a digital world for everyone.

Our Techquity Program is an 8-week intensive training on web design and development. Held from December 11, 2023, to February 11, 2024, this program welcomed 31 enthusiastic attendees eager to enhance their web development skills and contribute more effectively to our projects. Despite having over 100 registrations, only a select group was chosen to ensure quality training.

Training Overview

The training session was designed to equip participants with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills necessary for building a website from scratch. It covered several crucial aspects of web development:

• Key design concepts, including colors, types, and layouts
• Introduction to user experience (UX) and its importance
• UI principles and introduction to Figma, including navigation of the Figma workspace
• Practical design exercises before moving on to web design training proper

This ensured attendees gained a well-rounded understanding of the entire process, from planning and design to development and deployment.

Interactive Sessions

The training was highly interactive, featuring hands-on exercises that allowed participants to apply what they had learned in real time. They built a simple static web page using HTML and CSS, gradually adding interactivity with JavaScript. Regular Q&A sessions provided opportunities to address specific questions and challenges faced by attendees. We also introduced attendees to no-code web design tools, specifically WordPress, and demonstrated how to build a website with WordPress.

Outcome

By the end of the training, attendees had a solid foundation in web development. They acquired practical skills to create and deploy basic websites, positioning themselves to take on more complex projects. The training not only enhanced their technical abilities but also boosted their confidence in contributing to our company’s mission of providing top-notch digital solutions.

Feedback and Follow-Up

The feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many appreciating the practical and interactive nature of the training. Suggestions for future sessions included more advanced topics and specialized training in back-end development and specific frameworks.

In response, Feexet plans to organize additional workshops and provide further resources to support the ongoing learning and development of our team. This commitment to continuous improvement ensures that we remain at the forefront of delivering cutting-edge digital solutions. We onboarded some of the participants as interns at Feexet to help with daily activities and basic web design projects, giving them more real-life experience to grow as web designers.
